WOW what a month. thank God it's over!!!
the first weekend we went down to Tx to celebrate roxy's 2nd b-day. the twins could not get comfortable so they fussed all the way down. had a good time down there. sleeping was another issue thou. apparently they had ear infections. coming back karen had given us some runny nose medication so they actually slept or was at least content on the way back. chris was hurting and felling all around yucky on the way back.
monday morning was the twins 18-month check up. this is when we found out about the ear infections. chris was home trying to recover from sunday and the night before. he ended up calling me and telling me he was going to statcare, we just thought he had a stomach bug so did not even think about going to the ER but come to find out (6 hours after he went in) he was his appendix. so we went to the hospital and chris was in the operating room by 6:30pm. dr told us everything went good and that his appendix did rupture. i found out the next day that it was sunday that it ruptured on. if only we had known.
he was in the hospital until friday morning. since he had a belly full of infection he had to be on IV antibiotics.
he was so very glad to be out of the hospital. he told us this is is first and only surgery! it was so weird to be on the opposite side of the bed for both of us.
on a special note.... parent/grandparents!!! what a God-send the are!! chris's folks drove up that monday night. his mom stayed the week and his dad drove back and forth several more times that week. he himself had a dr appt from his (planned) surgery back in dec. was wanting to get the okay to be able to pick up the twins. he got it. :) my folks!!! they picked up the kids that monday and stayed with them every night while i was at the hospital. I would like to thank you again Bill and Sharon Edwards and Bill and Mary Perricotti. chris and i would not have been able to get through this month (or any other month for that matter) without your support.
